Resolved Question: Any suggestions for getting more comfortable breathing underwater for scuba diving?

I completed my classroom session and went for my pool session this morning. It was a disaster. I could not get comfortable breathing through the snorkel or regulator. Especially when water got in my mask. Now it doesn't bother me a bit to hold my breath and swim under water. I can open my eyes and water in my nose doesn't bother me. When I started trying to breath through the snorkel and regulator, I had all kinds of problems. I am going to use my neighbors pool to try to get more comfortable using the snorkel.
